How to register for MobiTap and start using it

• Complete the merchant account application form
• Once the account is opened and integration completed, the bank will send the OTP (one-time password) to you for activation
• Download and install the MobiTap application from Google Play store
• Open the MobiTap App from the mobile to enable it by entering the OTP received from the bank
• The first screen will require you to enter the transaction amount to start the payment process
• Type in the amount and click “Next”
• The customer will tap their card against the NFC reader at the back of the mobile device
• Tap card (card must not be removed until a second beep is heard, and a message is displayed prompting for it to be removed)
• Remove card
• After the card has been tapped a confirmation screen will appear with either a successful or failed response
• A receipt will be displayed
• Click “Done” (This option finalises and closes the transaction)

The approve/failed screen will require the business/merchant or customer to capture a mobile number or email address where the confirmation receipt is to be sent

• Select either “Send email” or “Send SMS (e.g. 255755473536)”
• Type in the mobile number or email address based on what you have chosen
• Click “Submit” if you have chosen mobile number and “Send email” if you have selected to email the receipt
